Capturing, processing, and synchronizing in-situ EELS data

This demo video shows how to capture in-situ EELS datasets using the GIF Continuum® K3® IS with DigitalMicrograph® version 3.5.0 and above. We also demonstrate a few of the many data playback and analysis tools which now work with these in-situ EELS datasets.

The sample here is a Sn nanoparticle which melts and re-crystallizes repeatedly as the temperature oscillates between 50 and 300 °C, resulting in dramatic changes to the electron density, and thus the bulk-plasmon energy.
